Help send a youth who has (or is about to) age out of Foster Care, was raised in a single parent home, or is working to break the cycle of poverty in their life.  Volunteer to be an expert in your area during the camp to help provide in-depth information and legal answers.

  • Manage a bank account and prevent overdraft fees
  • Identify different types of insurance available, typical coverage, and why they should care
  • Prepare for all types of taxes - payroll, sales, property, and income
  • Take simple steps to protect their identity and what to do if their identity has been stolen
  • Pull their credit report, understand what it says, correct errors, and improve their score
  • Purchase a vehicle
  • Rent an apartment
  • Navigate a grocery shopping trip (note: a field trip is planned)
  • Make the different financial tools work together successfully
  • and much more

Students will receive topic workbooks; a 3-ring binder and dividers; light breakfast, lunch, drinks, and snacks
