When making a charitable donation, make sure to check with your employer. Many companies will match donations made to a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization.

Your donation dollars will go toward providing items such as:
Program - There are expenses related to the actual conducting of the programs such as transportation, printing, comb binding, some facilities charge rent, supplies, etc..
Printers - We need a black/white multi-function printer for printing the booklets for the topics as well as the pages for the mock checkbooks. Â We need a color printer for printing the covers for the booklets and checkbooks. Â These printers will be used for other printing tasks as well such as flyers, brochures, receipts, etc.
Equipment for producing the materials - comb binding machine, plastic combs, reams of paper, toner, ink cartridges, paper cutter, etc.
Rent, utilities, insurance - Allow us to have a location, other than my dining room, where additional volunteers can help.
Furniture - When we have a separate location, we will need tables, chairs, file cabinets, office supplies, etc.
Communicating the existence of the nonprofit - These are items such as membership in the local Chamber of Commerce, memberships on nonprofit and grant making websites.
Additional Licensing - Some states require solicitation licenses when soliciting and/or receiving donations from citizen's within their state. Â Some of these states charge a fee for this license.
